Killeen, Texas authorities shared news about the tragic passing of a 37 year old mother of two on Friday evening after Killeen Police Officers were called to a residence on the 3300 block of Lakecrest Drive, located just off of Watercrest Drive. Just after 7 PM Friday evening, the officers were conducting a welfare check, and what they discovered was absolutely horrifying.

The responding officers not only found the deceased body of the 37 year old, but they learned there were also two children in the home that seemed unaware of what happened. Thankfully the kids are safe, and the investigation into what happened let detectives onto the post at Fort Cavazos.

When the city of Killeen Police Department released information on the case, all we know is that a warrant for the husband, now identified as 42 year old John Mwangi, was issued, and he was apprehended inside the gate at Fort Cavazos. Texas authorities do believe this murder was an isolated domestic violence occurrence, and there was no additional danger to the community.

According to reports, the victim was shot multiple times in a horrific murder, and the suspect casually departed for the post after allegedly killing his wife. Thankfully the children in the home were unharmed, and also unaware that they were sharing the home with the recently murdered woman.
