Darius Letrayal King of Killeen, Texas has been sentenced to 427 months -- more than 35 years -- for a crime he committed over two years ago, while his accomplice received a 12-year sentence. King was convicted of carjacking and armed robberies of two area stores in 2020.

KWTX is reporting that King and his codefendant Corey Labon Jackson, also of Killeen, committed armed robberies of a 7-Eleven and a Family Dollar two years ago. King drove Jackson to the stores and provided a weapon, while Jackson robbed them at gunpoint.  On January 3, 2020, King also committed a carjacking, taking a vehicle from someone he knew while using a firearm.

Jackson was sentenced to a total of 144 months in prison in May of this year, and has also remained in federal custody since his arrest in January 2020.
