Killeen and Temple Warming Shelters Will Open Thru Saturday

Killeen will open up the warming shelter at the Killeen Community Center tonight  through Saturday morning, from 6 pm to 8 am daily.

The Killeen Community Center is at 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd.  The shelter is open for anyone who needs a place to stay during the freezing weather.

The Temple Warming Center will also be open tonight for homeless or distressed persons in the city.
Temple Warming Center locations are:
 Victory Ministries, 305 South 18th Street (men)
 Transformation Station, 503 East Central Avenue (men)

A warming location for women and children will also open should the need arise. The Warming Centers will be open through Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Warming Centers provide a place for people who would normally be out in the elements on an extremely cold evening, They stay in a warm shelter and receive water, blankets, toilet facilities, and limited hygiene items.
