If you are looking for a great deal, we've got some good news!

The city of Killeen is hosting a surplus auction this weekend, with a long list of items up for grabs, including a Cadillac Escalade, several trucks, used vehicles, car accessories, computers, office equipment, furniture and even bounce houses.

The auction will include miscellaneous items no longer being used or needed for Killeen city operations.

When is Killeen's Auction?

The auction will take place this Saturday, April 2nd at the Killeen Special Events Center, 3301 South WS Young Drive. A public viewing will begin at 8 a.m., and the live auction begins at 10 a.m.

Bidding will be accepted in person during the live auction. All items are sold as-is, and must be paid for with cash, check, or credit card immediately following the auction. All items must be removed after purchase.

Auction Tips For Beginners

If you've never attended an auction before, there are a few things you need to remember. It's very different from a garage sale!

  • Arrive early - It’s important to be able to inspect items during the preview time.
  • Be prepared - Bring a truck or large SUV, along with some boxes or packing materials.
  • Be sure you have a buyer’s number - Most likely you will need to register with the auction company and get a buyer or bid number.
  • Know what you’re buying - When everything is sold “as is, where is,” you buy what you see.

The auction site currently lists sedans, a backhoe, generators, and many other items. Killeen's surplus auction is being conducted by united-auctioneers.com.

The living room and kitchen will be familiar to 'Friends' fans as you will see from the real estate photos. At the top of the stairs, you’ll see a foosball table that looks a lot like the one in Joey and Chandler's apartment, surrounded by a comfy couch.
