Singer LeAnn Rimes and her husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, are ready to once and for all show everyone who they really are. In an effort to rail against the tabloid rumors, the couple will star in a half-hour reality series for VH1 in the fall. Rimes recently referred to her life as 'one big country song,' but apparently, it's a television show as well!

The new show, produced by Gurney Productions, has a working title of ‘LeAnn & Eddie’ and is slated to give viewers an honest portrayal of the couple's married life. Their relationship has been under intense scrutiny ever since their highly publicized affair that broke up both of their previous marriages -- and landed Rimes in an in-patient facility.

“We are really excited to be working together on a unique show that will give you a glimpse into who we really are, or better yet who we’re really not,” Rimes and Cibrian state in a press release. “We’re thrilled to partner with VH1 and the Gurneys to put our spin on a project full of love, humor and music.”

There had been rumors of the couple pitching a sitcom about their lives, and their efforts paid off. In addition to Scott and Deirdre Gurney for Gurney Productions, Rimes and Cibrian will serve as executive producers for Country Cuban Productions, Inc. Other executive producers are John Ferriter for Octagon Entertainment and Scotty Abrams for Maniac Filmworks and Music. Jill Holmes is executive producing for VH1.

VH1 is vocal about their support for the two lovebirds, as Tom Calderone, President of VH1 says, “LeAnn and Eddie are both talented entertainers who have really captured the public’s imagination in the last couple of years, but there is so much more to them than what you read in the tabloids. This is going to be a really fun show in which we hope to reveal what their lives are really like -- from the normalcy of their home life, to what drives them artistically, to the chaos of their celebrity life.”

‘LeAnn & Eddie’ will begin airing its initial six-episode run in the fall of 2013, although no specific air dates or times have yet been announced.
