A couple of days ago a little after 4 AM, a man from the West University neighborhood and father of 3 young children went missing outside his home in the Houston, Texas area. It is believed he left in his bright yellow dodge pickup truck with personalized plates.

What do authorities know about the missing father of 3?

Right now local law enforcement do not have a lot to conduct an investigation. They know the missing man is Brett Detamore, 38 of Houston and was last seen outside his home very close to the border of Bellaire around 4:20 AM on Wednesday morning June 21st, 2023. He has young children, and the Houston Police Department is conducting an investigation.

According to this article with KHOU 11, another unnamed federal agency is assisting with the search. You can see from his description that Detamore is 6'1 and weighs approximately 220 Lbs.

The most bizarre part of this story thus far, his brand new truck was found burned.

His truck was found scorched at Bear Creek Pioneers Park later on Wednesday nearly 20 miles from his home in West University. A ground search has already been conducted of the area by Harris County Constable Precinct 1, Harris County Constable Precinct 5, and EquuSearch without turning up any leads.

If you have any information on Betamore's whereabouts or know someone who might, you are asked to please call West University Police Department at 713-668-0330 or 911. Any sighting leads would be very helpful as it is unknown what Betamore was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
