10 New Restaurants on 31st Street Opening This Spring in Temple

Construction continues on 31st Street, but once it's finished, we'll all be very satisfied.

If you don't have a reason to travel down 31st street in Temple, then you obviously don't live there, or you've catered your life to stay to the north side of town. But if you haven't traveled down south in a while, you might be surprised at what's happening across the street from Scott & White Hospital.

That vacant lot just south of the carwash, and north of the new chicken place (I believe it's called Raising Cane's) is no longer just full of tall grass and trees. It's been leveled and plotted. In fact there's a new strip mall being built that will contain more great places to eat.

They are MOD Pizza, Jersey Mikes, Menchies Frozen Yogurt, Mama Fu's, and Lily's Cakes. They're expected to be open in the Spring.

That's not all. It seems that Buffalo Wild Wings, Rosa's Cafe, Zaxbys, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, and Freddy's Frozen Custard will begin construction next month with more announcements soon to follow.
