New Study Lists Significant Gang Presence in Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood Area
The Texas Department of Public Safety has released its 2017 Gang Threat Assessment detailing the most significant gang presence in the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood area.
According to the news release, the most significant presence is from the Gangster Disciples. Also on the list is the Aryan Brotherhood and the presence of the Aryan Circle from Travis County to Bell County.
According to the Killeen Daily Herald's review of the assessment, the most active street gangs in the region are the Bloods, Surenos, Crips, and Gangster Disciples. These groups are said to be most active in Bexar, Bell, Williamson, Travis, Coryell, and McLennan counties.
Also in the assessment are the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle gang. The group is listed as "highly active", most notably for their involvement in the 2015 Waco Twin Peaks restaurant shootout.
