Plane Crashes Near Gatesville, Pilot Walks Away

Put 74-year-old Paul Seales on your badass list, because he just walked away from a plane crash.

KWTX reports that the wing of Seales' plane struck a windsock pole as he was taking off from a grass strip about 7 miles east of Gatesville Wednesday afternoon. The single-engine Cessna 172 G crashed on a ranch off County Road 324 in Coryell County around 2:15 PM.

Seales walked away from the crash, but was taken to Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville to get checked out for non-life-threatening injuries.
