Police Investigate Young Woman Murdered in Killeen

A 20-year old female died in Killeen from a gunshot wound late Sunday evening.

According to a press release from the Killeen Police Department, officers responded to the 3300 block of Hereford Lane on March 29, after receiving a 911 call about a shooting victim.

Authorities arrived at the scene at approximately 10 PM, and found the woman lying in the street with a gunshot wound. The woman was immediately transferred to Baylor Scott & White, but the victim did not survive. Justice of the Peace David Barfield pronounced the young woman as deceased at approximately 11:44 PM.
