Killeen police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that left three people dead Sunday afternoon.

According to a Killeen Police Department press release, officers responded to a home in the 5900 block of Cobalt Lane around 4:51 p.m. and found a 24-year-old woman lying in the driveway with a gunshot wound. The woman was transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Upon entering the house, police found a man and woman, both 28, dead of apparent gunshot wounds.

Police have not yet released the names of the victims.

According to our news partner KWTX, the incident appears to have been a murder-suicide stemming from a domestic dispute between a man and his wife. During the dispute, the man pulled a gun and shot his wife. Her sister (the woman found in the driveway) was shot while attempting to flee to safety. The man then reportedly turned the gun on himself.
