Potterheads have much to be excited about in 2016. Along with a new play featuring Harry and Company, we have a film and three new e-books on the way!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two premiered the weekend of Harry's birthday, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit the big screen in November. Now, Pottermore.com has announced that J.K. Rowling will debut three new e-books next month with more details about the Wizarding World.

Knowing her fan base, Rowling also released the script to Cursed Child simultaneously with the debut of the play. My pre-ordered copy was delayed, but when I received it - I devoured it. I read the entire book in one day, in approximately two sittings.

Yes, I stayed up on a Saturday night until the wee hours of Sunday morning enjoying the adventures of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy's children. And I loved every minute of it.

Now I'm really excited to learn more about characters from the Wizarding World in the new e-book shotrts, Pottermore Presents, set for release on September 6. These would make a fabulous birthday present for the Gryffindor writing this article, hint hint, as I will be celebrating another year just five days later.

Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guidethis may be the closest we ever get to Hermoine's 'Hogwarts: A History.' I'll settle, and I'm eager to delve in.

Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Political and Pesky Poltergeiststhis collection of shorts will have darker themes and explore parts of the Wizarding World that are not as sunny and light.

Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbiesthis exciting collection will feature the pasts of teachers at Hogwarts. We'll learn more about our favorite professors, and some who we haven't had many details on up to now.

I just pre-ordered mine... guess I won't be needing that birthday present!
