The Belton 4th of July Celebration and Rodeo begins next week! Make sure your listening for your chance to win tickets!The PRCA Rodeo begins July 1st at the Bell County Convention Center! Grab your boots and get ready for 3 big nights of fun. Each night of the Rodeo begins with the Western Gift Show at 5:30 followed by Bull riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling and bull fighters! Plus, there's still time to get signed up for the mutton bustin' competition! It's open to children ages 4-7 with heights between 42.5" and 53" not over 55 lbs. Entry is $20 per child!

The Rodeo welcomes 2016 Barrelman Mark Swingler and Announcer Charlie Throckmorton as your hosts each night.

The 5 day long celebration and 3 day rodeo is all thanks to the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets for the Rodeo are just $15 for general seating, $18 for reserved seating.

According to their press release: Festivities begin June 30, with the annual Kick-Off BBQ at Yettie Polk Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The pinnacle of the celebration is the 4th of July Parade, which made its first appearance in 1850. This year’s theme is “Traveling the USA." More than 30,000 people will flood the streets of Belton to watch one of the most historic parades in Texas. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and will include a variety of floats, vehicles, marching bands and local celebrities. This Belton Chamber event has been a favorite year after year.
