Man in Temple, Texas Facing Charges After Creating Fake Profiles with Ex’s Information
Online harassment is something that more and more law enforcement officers are becoming aware of in the digital age we live in. It's important to remember that the person on the other end of that internet connection is just that - a person. One man in Temple, Texas - Raymond Vasquez Velasquez - is currently facing charges thanks to his inhuman actions online.
Incident With Raymond Vasquez Velasquez
According to our news partners at KTWX, on December 8th, 2021, officers with the Temple Police Department received a report from the 1600 block of Avalon Road. The victim, who is unidentified at the time of writing, reported profiles posted by Velasquez that contained private videos and pictures.
Sites mentioned in the affidavit included TikTok and Facebook. The affidavit also states the private items were taken with consent, but that was when the victim and Velasquez were in a relationship. Velasquez also allegedly threatened bodily harm against the victim on November 30th, 2021.
Velasquez's Continued Alleged Behavior
The victim also stated to officers that Velasquez broke into her home, destroyed furniture and removed the light off the victim's ring camera. These incidents were also reported to officers.
Velasquez also reportedly sent the private photos to the victim's daughter and also threatened bodily harm against her as well.
On August 8th, 2022, Velasquez was arrested and is currently in holding at the Bell County Jail. His bond was set at $150,000. He was charged with online harassment, due to the creation of profiles using his ex-girlfriends information.
