It's business as usual for Six Flags, a company which runs numerous amusement parks across the U.S.

According to a press release from Six Flags, the business plans to remain open despite the COVID-19 pandemic that's sacred off South by Southwest and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. President and CEO Mike Spanos assures guests that safety is the top priority for the company.

Six Flags stated that they are closely monitoring updates from the CDC and World Health Organization, and that they've hired an infectious disease specialist to advise them during the ongoing situation.

Of course hygiene is a highly important part of health and safety, and Six Flags is bumping up their standards. Anti-bacterial soap is available in all soap dispensers, and multiple hand-sanitizer stations have been placed throughout the parks. Ride vehicles, food stations, and restrooms will also be disinfected frequently.

Personally, while I'm certainly not a germaphobe, I don't think it's a particularly smart idea to go to an amusement park where thousands of people from a variety of places pass through daily. That's just me, though.
