When I first heard about this story, I thought it was a joke. There's too much going on here that's ridiculous and seems like something out of a sketch show. Come to find out that police in Temple, Texas are taking this very seriously, and so should we. (But we can have a little fun.)

WHO IS COWBOY CURTIS?

The Temple Police Department is asking for the public's help finding the man in the pictures above and below. He's accused of running out of the Walmart on West Adams in Temple with a car battery he didn't pay for. Unfortunately, police say he also assaulted an employee on the way out.

In a news release, police said that employee wasn't seriously injured, so that's a blessing.

Folks on social media have had a field day with this guy, cracking jokes about him being "charged with battery", and wondering if Cowboy Curtis from Pee-wee Herman has it so rough these days that he's lifting car batteries from department stores. One lady even jokes that the cowboy had must just be a distraction, because horses don't need batteries!
