Happy Holidays Temple, Texas: Christmas Parade To Be Held Dec. 5th
(Temple, Texas) - It's finally and for some of us, officially, the holiday season. Celebrations are well underway all over the state of Texas. Previous data even shows that Texas is more festive during the season.
Central Texas is in full swing of celebrations of course. Lights, Christmas inflatables, and yes Christmas trees are all over the place. And as it turns out, Temple is ready to celebrate the season in style, as per usual.
Temple Christmas Parade Set To Take Place Soon
According to a press release by the City of Temple, events are going to begin at 6:15 PM on Monday, December 5th. First, there will be a tree lighting with the Mayor of Temple, Tim Davis. Following shortly after the lighting, the parade is set to begin at 6:30 PM.
The release states that as many as 100 will be participating in the parade. And yes, everyone's favorite jolly old soul will be in attendance. Santa is slated to land his sleigh right here in Temple and be in the parade at the time of 7:20 PM.
So for the boys and girls that have been bad, this might be your last chance to place yourself on the nice list!
For Those Wanting To Watch
What's the point of a parade if you aren't able to watch? Well for those coming out to watch the parade, bleachers are set to open at 5 PM for those coming out to view the parade. For those wishing to view the parade from the streets, they can bring chairs to place on the side of the road to watch.
Where Can I Watch?
If you want to attend the tree lighting ceremony, that'll be happening at City Hall, 2 North Main Street, 6:15 PM.
Bleacher seating in front of City Hall will open at 5 PM. They'll fill up fast though. The parade will begin at the intersection of East Adams and North 8th Street, proceed west along Adams Avenue, and end at Temple High School.
