Police arrested Ruben Dee Freeman following a report of a domestic violence disturbance. Freeman is being charged with beating his mother in the head with a hammer.

Temple Hammer Attack

FOX44 News reports that Temple PD were called to the 700 block of East Central Avenue on Sunday at 12:40a and found a woman who had ben beaten with a hammer.  47-year-old Freeman was arrested and is being held on $200,000 bond.

It's being reported that Freeman allegedly attacked his 79 year old mother with the hammer because he couldn't find the pants he was searching for. Freeman is being held and charged with a second degree felony of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Freeman's mother was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.

Killeen Hammer Attack

We reported back in mid-July on another hammer attack, this time in Killeen, Texas.

Jennifer Rae White was taken into custody on Sunday, July 10 following an attack with a hammer on her neighbors car windows and front door. White reportedly also punched out the front windows of the residence there.

White was charged with burglary of habitation with intent to commit assault, which is a first-degree felony. She was booked into the Bell County Jail, and her bond was set at $100,000.
