Texas has a great many claims to fame that any good Texan will quickly point out to any non Texan any chance they have, but it does not get much more exclusive in the United States than being able to shop at your local H-E-B. Perhaps I am showing my age here, or this may be an acknowledgement to the claim of many that I am an old soul, but there just about is not anything I enjoy more than going grocery shopping at H-E-B.

As I have gotten older, my eyes have begun to become bigger than my tummy and sadly with the surge in food cost inflation over the last couple of years, my eyes have also become much larger than my food budget.
