Killeen police have released the identities of three suspects in a Sunday night shooting that left a teenager with a head wound.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Killeen Police Department Public Affairs Officer Ofelia Miramontez released the following information about the three people currently in custody:

18-year-old Preston Harrington, charged with Deadly Conduct, bond set at $100,000

22-year-old Dante Hervey, charged with Aggravated Assault, bond set at $500,000 and Discharge in Municipality, bond set at $5000

44-year-old Donna Hervey, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance w/Intent to Deliver, bond set at $50,000

Jail records indicated all three suspects remained in the Bell County Jail Wednesday afternoon.

The 15-year-old victim remained in critical condition at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. His identity has not been made public.


 

Killeen police oficers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Longview Drive at 11:45 PM Sunday after receiving a 911 call about a shooting victim.

When officers arrived, they found a teenage boy with a gunshot wound to the head. The child was first transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, then transferred to Baylor Scott & White.

Miramontez said officers spoke to witnesses at the scene who were able to identify several suspects.

"Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division located the suspects and they were taken into custody," she said. "Charges and suspect identification are pending a review of the case by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office."
