Would you believe me if I told you there's a magic gate at the airport in Austin, Texas? What if I offered video evidence?

Travel Should Be Magic, Not Abysmal

Air travel is sometimes very stressful isn't it? Getting to the airport early, going through security, making sure you have your ticket. That's also not mentioning trying to keep an eye on your luggage too.

So long story short, there's a lot to plan for, and then there's the unexpected.

Will you be able to get coffee before your flight? Will you have to check you bag at the gate? Is bad weather going to possibly delay your flight?

But could you believe there're also distractions in airports too? It's hard to believe, but with some people having a layover in the Austin airport there has to be places to keep people entertained. Or at least somewhat content until they leave to get to their final destination.

Enter this gate at the airport that leads to...anywhere?

Now I've seen this gate before the few times I've flown out of the airport but I've never really approached it. It might be a combination of having an early flight and making sure I get something to eat before I get on the plane. But this might be a sign for me to finally check it out.

You even get a little ticket of your destination that you're going to. Which also makes me wonder how many places you could theoretically go to. Are all the destinations on the board available for a fantasy ticket?

This also seems just really fun for little ones who may not be having fun during airline travel. They can pretend they're going on a trip to their place of choice.

Regardless, next time I'm at Austin-Bergstrom, I will be getting a fantasy ticket.
