U.S. Marshals Arrest Two in Waco, Texas Capital Murder Case
The U.S. Marshal's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested two people for the murder of 22 year old Robert Juarez in Waco, Texas on October 21st.
According to a report from KWTX, 39 year old Anthony Chambers, of Waco, was served a warrant, arrested and charged with capital murder. Chambers was already being held at the Bell County Jail on unrelated charges.
27 year old, Aleisha Hillard, was also arrested in Waco Wednesday morning 12/16, in Waco.
The capital murder charges stem from a shooting that happened on October 21, 2021 in the 800 block of South 12th Street around 10:30pm. Officers found Juarez suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately began applying life saving measures.
Juarez would die at the scene. KCEN reports that police learned that multiple people were seen running from the scene.
The murder of Robert Juarez is the 15th murder in Waco this year. Waco had 17 murders in 2020.
According to a Safewise report from October 2021, Waco finished at 232 out of 266 on a list of "Safest Cities in Texas" with 5.7 violent crimes per 1000 people. Temple placed at 146 with 2.8 violent crimes per 1,000 people and Killeen coming in at 174 with 3.8 violent crimes per 1,000 people.
