Waco Woman Charged After Children Found in “Feces-Filled” Apartment
News 10 is reporting that a Waco mother was arrested Thursday after police found broken dishes and animal feces throughout her apartment.
KWTX said, "Pauline Jo Essix, 22, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with three counts of abandoning/endangering a child, a state jail felony. She remained jailed Thursday in lieu of bonds totaling $9,000, according to jail records. Waco police say they were called to do a welfare check at Essix's home in the Towne Oaks Apartments on Sanger Avenue. Responding officers reported immediately smelling animal feces and saw it 'everywhere' along with piles of dishes, broken dishes, cat litter spilled across the floor, and old food covering the countertops, a police spokesman said."
Police revealed that there were 3 children in the dirty apartment all under the age of five.
KWTX said, " The three children have different fathers. Two of the three were placed with Texas Child Protective Services and the third was picked up by the father, police said."
