Be warned when you're behind the wheel in this state.

Car insurance website CarInsuranceComparison.com has come out with a list of where the worst drivers in the country can be found. Louisiana has the dubious honor of finishing atop the list, leading a charge of Southern states in the top 10.

Rankings were created by looking at statistics measuring fatalities per capita, failure to obey traffic signals and seat belt laws, drunk driving, tickets and careless driving.

Vermont sets the standard with the best drivers in the US, followed by Utah, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Oregon and Maine.
