Shoppers at Hong Kong's Paradise Mall were treated to quite a show Sunday when a wild boar crashed through the ceiling, leading to a four-hour standoff with police.

The young female pig wandered from its natural habitat and somehow managed to find its way into the upper part of the shopping center's structure before kicking through a false ceiling. Police were eventually able to corral it into a changing room, where an animal control officer shot it with a tranquilizer dart. The animal was taken to an animal management facility to be observed.

The South China Morning Post reports that shoppers were teasing police during their standoff with the pig, wondering how the tiny creature could get the best of them. Here in Texas, we know feral hogs can get pretty nasty when they're cornered, so can you really blame the police for giving the poor creature some space?
