Woman Tied to Missing Central Texas Residents Moved to Bell County Jail
News 10 is reporting that one of the people tied to the case of the two missing Central Texas residents who were later found dead was transferred from a Michigan jail to a Central Texas jail on Tuesday.
Michael Swearingin and Jenna Scott were found dead in Oklahoma days after they were reported missing in Central Texas.
According to the Muskegon County Jail in Michigan, Maya Maxwell was transferred to the Bell County Jail on Tuesday evening.
KWTX said, "Maxwell, 26, was arrested on Jan. 11 in Muskegon on a Bell County warrant charging tampering with evidence, admitted that 'she was involved with leaving Swearingin’s vehicle in Austin in hopes to conceal it from law enforcement', a warrant affidavit says. She is one of three people with ties to the disappearance of Swearingin and Scott. Cedric Marks, whom police identified as Scott's ex-boyfriend, was arrested on Jan. 8 in Kent County, Mich., on a Temple burglary warrant stemming from a break-in on Aug. 21, 2018, at Scott’s home. Temple police have not identified him as a person of interest or suspect in Scott’s and Swearingin’s disappearance and deaths."
