Killeen police are investigating after a woman's body was found wrapped in plastic under a tree Tuesday morning.

Our partners at News 10 report that the woman was found unconscious in the 4800 block of Rainbow Circle after police responded to call about a possibly deceased person shortly after 9:30 AM.

A police spokesperson told News 10's Eric Franklin that paramedics were called to the scene, but found no signs of life in the woman.

Police had not released further information Tuesday afternoon, and the scene remained under investigation. They did not release the woman's identity or a possible cause of death.

Bary Roy with KCEN-TV reported that the woman's body was found wrapped in plastic.

Police have not said if foul play is suspected.
