See Where Can You Watch the Fireworks in CTX This Weekend

This weekend will be a BLAST for sure. Whether you are putting on your own firework display or heading to your city's show, please keep it safe. Here's a list of show details for Killeen, Temple, and Belton.

This is the week my dogs wonder what the hell is going on outside as random fireworks pop around the neighborhood, sometimes at ungodly hours of the early morning.

I look at it as a reminder that our great country is celebrating its birthday and these are just the candles people light....and explode! lol

Like every birthday, there needs to be a party. So here's when and where you'll find the party this year.

According to The Killeen Daily Herald, Fort Hood is set to get the party started on Friday, July 2 from 4-10p at Hood Stadium. Gates are scheduled to open at 3:30p.

Festivities are hosted by Fort Hood’s Family and MWR and the USO. Live entertainment includes performances from LOCASH, DJ J. Dayz, and Taylor Williamson, and Miss America Camille Schrier will be there too.

There is shuttle bus service for those looking to attend. Buses will run every 15 minutes from 3-11p from Phantom Warrior Lanes Parking Lot, Building 49010 on Clear Creek Road, Commissary, Building 50001 on Clear Creek Road and The Community Events and Bingo Center, Building 50012 on Clear Creek Road.

The Fort Hood Independence Day Celebration is open and free to anyone who wants to come but visitors must enter through the Marvin Leath Visitor’s Welcome Center.

Temple will host the 23rd H-E-B All American Family Fun Festival & Fireworks Show on Sunday, July 4th from 4-9:30p at Crossroads Park in West Temple. It's free and open to anyone wanting to attend and features live music, food trucks, and of course a fireworks show.

The City of Belton is making a big 4th of July comeback this year with a weeklong celebration featuring various events planned starting on July 1st with the PRCA Rodeo happening at the Bell County Expo Center. There'll be a jampacked Saturday, July 3, with a Patriotic Program starting at 9am at The Bell County Courthouse followed by a parade at 10a and the Festival on Nolan Creek starting at 11a at Yetti Polk Park that'll feature a hot dog eating contest starting at 12noon.

Schoepf's BBQ will host a free concert on Sunday starting at 6pm with fireworks following the show.

Looks like plenty of options for celebrating American this 4th of July weekend. If you plan it out just right, you can hit all three fireworks shows!

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

Back on April 30, 2021, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now we know what will go in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.
