Belton, Texas was rocked by some very unusual criminal activity on Wednesday after a man was attacked in his home, and the suspects allegedly fled the scene of the victim's apartment complex by shooting at a woman who was in a nearby car.

Multiple local Texas agencies like the Killeen Police Department K-9 Unit and the Bell County VCAT assisted Belton Police to locate and apprehend 5 suspects all believed to be involved in one portion or another of the attack at the Belle Oak Apartments.

Texas Neighborhood Now Recovering From Home Invasion Shooting

According to this KCEN article, a call was made to the Belton Police about a home invasion and shots fired just after 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. When police were able to arrive on the scene, the suspects were all gone and information gathered determined that a man had been assaulted in his home, and a woman in a vehicle was shot at by the fleeing suspects.

There are now five suspects in custody, and each are facing multiple felony charges from Aggravated Assault, to Burglary of a Habitation, and Engaging in Organized Crime. The Belton Police also believe this is an isolated incident, and that neither residents of Belle Oaks Apartment, nor other citizens of Belton are in any immediate danger.
