A new report ranks a Temple, Texas hospital as one of the best in the state.

Several Central Texas hospitals were on the list, but Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple came in at 5th place, beating out three Austin facilities that landed in the top 25.

Top Hospitals in Texas

U.S. News & World Report analyzed around 5,000 hospitals and surveyed 30,000 physicians to rank hospitals across the nation in 15 adult specialties. Only 164 hospitals placed on the list in at least one of the specialties. The list also recognized hospitals by state, metro, and regional areas for work in 20 frequent procedures and conditions. There were several ties for the same place in the rankings.
