American Pie Star Thomas Ian Nicholas Coming to Temple, TX BitBar Bash
Temple, Texas is the place to be this November if you want to meet one of the stars of an iconic teen comedy that will live rent-free in all our heads for decades to come. Thomas Ian Nicholas is coming to the BitBar!
Ah, Memories
We've all grown up remembering certain movies and certain phrases that will live in our minds forever. You know, classic lines like, "It’s Friday, you ain't got no job, and you ain't got ---- to do!".
But my all-time favorite phrase growing up (that I would often get in tons of trouble with my parents for saying) was, "This one time at band camp..."
Yeah, You Remember
Now, if you’re familiar with that line, you’re definitely familiar with the cast of American Pie. Who could forget Stiffler‘s mom, or those days when Tara Reid was still something to still look at? This was definitely the late 90s and early 2000s, and I was definitely between going to middle school and high school - very much in the movie's target demo.
So the fact that I was able to watch this movie makes no sense, knowing how vulgar and raunchy the film is all together, but hey, it was hilarious and my parents allowed me to watch it.
American Pie Actor Coming to Temple BitBar
The reason why I bring this up is that an American Pie star, Thomas Ian Nicholas, will be at the Bit Bar in Temple on Friday, November 19 from 8 PM until...well, whenever! (That's according to the BitBar Facebook page.)
You'll recognize him as Tera Reid's love interest, Kevin, in American Pie. Or, if your parents kept the VCR strictly PG, you'll know him as Henry from Rookie of the Year.
For those who don't know, Nicholas is also a singer and producer. He's released solo albums, and even performed and wrote music with Blues Traveler.
Get Your Game On
On November 19, he'll be partying with all the gamers at the Temple BitBar! Not sure where that is? Well, it's tucked away behind a major Temple landmark: Dynasty Chinese Restaurant.
Visit Dynasty at 2501 Airport Road and look for the signs guiding you to the "secret entrance", or just peek behind the restaurant, where you'll see the neon blue signs.
So come out and enjoy yourself while playing some classic video games and hanging out with one of the stars of a couple of your favorite classic movies!
See you there, and try your best not to mention band camp. You know everyone's gonna make that joke.
