A Walmart store in Harker Heights has reopened after an early morning bomb threat prompted an evacuation.

Harker Heights police received a call shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday about a bomb hidden inside the Walmart store at 2020 Heights Drive just off highway 190. Heights PD and the Fort Hood bomb squad evacuated more than two dozen employees and sent bomb-sniffing dogs to comb the parking lot and store aisles, but no explosives were found.

The store reopened around 5:15 a.m.a.

Police say the caller was a male, and Sgt. Roosevelt Wilson with the Harker Heights PD said police may have a suspect in mind. No further details have yet been made available.
