Happy Halloween! It's time to celebrate the spooky season and the City of Temple is getting in the spirit.
The City of Temple will have a couple of different events coming up including the Haunted Hayrides at Reuben D. Talasek Bend of the River and Fright Fest "Creep Thru" at Santa Fe Park.
Not a whole lot of information is available yet for the Haunted Hayrides, and I'll make sure to keep you updated, but judging from years past, each trailer will be carry 10 people at a time and wind through the park on a spooky, scary adventure.
Family-friendly rides are usually available earlier in the day so even the little ones can have some fun.
The Fright Fest “Creep Thru” is set for Saturday October 30th from 6-8p at Santa Fe Plaza (301 W Avenue A). This is a free event and fun for all ages. They'll have trick or treating, costume contest and a fire dancer show!
Need some help with a costume this year? I saw this while surfing the internet. Google's "Costume Wizard" tool is back for Halloween. It lets you choose how spooky and unique you want your costume to be, and then spits out the perfect costume based on Google Trends data. Check it out at Frightgeist.WithGoogle.com. Just look for the "Costume Wizard" in the top left corner, click on it and follow the prompts.
It told me my best costume would be going as Dracula. maybe that's just google's way of calling me old.
Happy Halloween!
