Texas has many businesses in it. With a lot of options to one for a certain item, there's going to be a favorite for everyone. But for a local business in Central Texas, a goal is about to be met that is very exciting.

Broken G BBQ's History In Central Texas

Broken G BBQ became a reality thanks to two people, Anthony Walton and Ashley Daniel. Walton started his BBQ craft around 20 years ago, as revealed by KWTX. Like most ventures, it started small.

Walton started cooking his BBQ in various areas, which included the backyard in his own home, and other kitchens in his local area. Then, things picked up when he got the opportunity to serve his food items at the The Backyard Bar & Grill located in Waco. Eventually, Broken G got a food truck prepare and serve food to customers.

Now, the business is ready for an actual restaurant. But help will be needed to make the dream a reality.

How Can Central Texas Residents Help Broken G BBQ?

The building itself has been obtained in Lacy Lakeview, and talking to KWTX, Walton cannot explain how overjoyed he is:

“When I look in here, it’s wild. It’s crazy but I’m excited. My heart races every time I drive by it. I come and drive into the parking lot to look at it. It’s a dream come true."

But, for Broken G BBQ to fully open in January 2026 as they plan to, they need help. If you wish to help the business, there's a GoFundMe you can donate to here.
