The upcoming severe weather in the Central Texas area has people planning ahead for not only the bad weather, but possibly driving on slick roads. With ice expected, many events are being affected. One of those events is TABA Home & Garden Show and SPJST Car Show.

Forecasts for the Central Texas Area are not looking good for those who are worried about both cold and ice in the state of Texas. At the time of writing, the weather is predicted to be rainy before the weekend. While this normally isn't something to worry about, it's what's after the rain that is causing concern.

According to AccuWeather, Saturday and Sunday's highs will not get over 32 degrees, which would cause not only problems with certain parts of the area, but ice could appear on the roadways, making driving dangerous.

The TABA Home & Garden Show and SPJST Car Show Is Moved

The TABA Home & Garden Show and SPJST Car Show was originally set for this weekend Janurary 23rd-25th, 2026. But, following future forecasts showing things did not like good for the event taking place. In a release to the media, the event will still happen, just a little bit later than anticipated:

"This decision was made after careful consideration of the safety of exhibitors, attendees, and staff. TABA has been in close communication with the Cadence Bank Center and has confirmed the rescheduled dates are secured."

The new dates for the event will be February 20th-22nd, 2026.
