Careful! Unpredictable Weather Is Making Driving Not So Fun in Temple
Weather in Central Texas is unpredictable. That’s the best way to put it. It can be sunny and warm one day, then we might have snow the next day.
That's why we have to be on our toes if we're going to stay safe. The reason why I say this and stress it so much is due to how many accidents are happening in Central Texas since the rain has come.
This morning when heading to work, I noticed in Temple a car was pretty much ripped to shreds. It was a gruesome sight to see, and I am only thankful that everyone in the car was safe. This could’ve ended terribly. If you would’ve gotten a glance at this car, you would’ve definitely thought no one in the vehicle made it.
This summer-to-fall transitional weather Central Texas is experiencing is probably not going away anytime soon. According to our partners at News 10, there're going to be cold fronts and more rain coming. I can only suggest that we make sure that we are 10 and 2 with our hands on the wheel, we are attentive to all our surroundings, make sure that we have our seatbelts on, and we all just drive very carefully.
It was a gruesome sight to see this morning. When I spoke with an officer, he explained to me that they've seen victims of hydroplaning lately.
If you must drive in the rain, make sure that you are not only super careful, but respect the drivers around you.
