In case you haven't noticed, Downtown Temple has been experiencing its own little renaissance in recent years, and the work is far from over.

If you want to get the inside scoop on what's in the works, you're invited to join Downtown Temple merchants and stake holders at their next quarterly coffee talk meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 25 at 8 AM.

Enjoy free coffee and continental breakfast at Benny's Ristorante Italiano, 17 S. Main Street, and hear all about the promotional and physical improvement efforts currently underway and planned for the near future.

David Patrick with KPA Engineers will be the featured speaker, sharing details about recently completed downtown development projects as well as several larger projects beginning soon.

If you'd like to attend, you'll need to RSVP with Breanne Marks. You can get in touch at (254) 298-5417 or bmarks@templetx.gov.

Back in February, the Temple City Council voted to adopt a resolution authorizing amendments to a development agreement to increase Strategic Investment Zone
(SIZ) grant funding for development of downtown properties at 110 and 112 South 1st St. You can read more about that and see renderings here.
