Copperas Cove Bridge to Close Temporarily Thursday

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are traffic headaches coming to Copperas Cove Thursday, March 5.

From 8 AM to 5 PM, TxDOT crews will close the I-14/US 190 Valley Bridge for repairs. According to Ken Roberts with TxDOT's Waco Division office, the temporary closure will allow workers to remove a temporary barrier and replace bridge railing damaged by a crash a few months back.

All eastbound and westbound traffic along I-14 will be detoured through Copperas Cove via Business 190.

If you know a good alternate route, I recommend using it and sharing the info with friends and neighbors. It's either that or take it slow and easy through the detour. Whatever you do, keep the radio tuned to your favorite station. We'll keep ya company!
