Temple police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left a man severely injured early Tuesday morning.

Cody Weems, Public Relations Coordinator with the City of Temple, reports that officers were dispatched to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center around 12:56 AM in reference to a shooting victim.

Officers were told the victim had been shot in his vehicle near the intersection of South MLK Jr. Drive and South 24th St. The shot was reportedly fired from another vehicle.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries. His name had not been released as of early Tuesday afternoon, and the circumstances of the crime were still under investigation.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about this shooting to contact them at (254) 298-5500. Anything you may have seen or heard could be helpful to investigators.

Sadly, this is not the only local shooting under investigation. Killeen police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot multiple times early Sunday morning at the Spot Bar & Restaurant at 10540 South Fort Hood Rd.

The shooting occurred shortly before 2:18 AM, and police believe the suspect to be the man below, captured on surveillance footage at the scene.
