Temple and Little River-Academy firefighters were able to safely extract a driver after a trailer he was hauling pinned his flipped truck Wednesday afternoon.

Temple Fire & Rescue spokesman Thomas Pechal said Wednesday evening that Temple firefighters were dispatched to assist Little River-Academy volunteer firefighters in the 10,100 Block of Hartrick Bluff Road at 4:52 PM Wednesday.

A driver had somehow managed to flip his truck, which had been hauling a trailer. The trailer ended up atop the flipped vehicle, trapping the driver inside.

Firefighters were able to stabilize that trailer and extract the middle-aged driver, whose injuries were believed to have been minor. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office was investigating the cause of the crash Wednesday evening.
