GOAL! New Sports Bar In Temple, Texas Shoots For A New Fandom

Sports bars are always something that many go to on Saturdays or Sundays for big sporting events. Whether it be by yourself or with a group, sometimes it is better to be out in the city instead of at home. However, as with all establishments, there has to be a certain reason to visit any sports bar.

For one new sports bar in Temple, they're going for a different type of sports crowd, and opening close to an event many in the nation are sure to keep their eye on.

Hat Trick Sports Bar Kicks Into High Gear

Not many sports bars, at least the ones we know of, have an indoor soccer field in them let alone two. But according to KCEN, Hat Trick is the newest business to enter the field of play, with previously mentioned indoor soccer fields included.

But just because it bears the title of sports bar doesn't mean that'll just be limited to adults attending the establishment. Manuel Velazquez, owner of Hat Trick, told KCEN that lessons for children to get better at the game of soccer will be available.

Velazquez isn't just a normal owner, he also serves as general manager for the Temple Coyotes FC, a semi-pro team in the area. He noticed that the community has provided support for the team, and he hopes the support will also translate the sports bar as well.

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.
