H-E-B Says Customers Should Not Panic
A favorite grocer among Texans is telling customers not to panic in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier today, H-E-B posted on the company Facebook page advising customers to "buy what you need." Many people have visited their local grocery stores to find toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes out of stock.
H-E-B has stated that the company is replenishing these items around-the-clock, and consumers should not attempt to "stockpile" these goods.
The major chain has also announced that they will offer free home delivery of prescriptions at over 200 stores. Those with auto-immune diseases will benefit greatly from this by not having to take the risk of interacting with a large group of people.
Many people have also decided to take advantage of H-E-B's curbside program, and are ordering their groceries online to avoid long lines and contact with others.
Is your local grocer out of toilet paper, water, or disinfectant wipes? Do you think consumers are over-reacting and stockpiling?
