Getting married to that special person is day to remember isn't it? In front of friends and family, the vows are said, and then everyone celebrates afterwards. But for many, the planning up to the event can be a little stressful to say the least.

The food, the invitations, the decorations...everything has be planned out and ready to go. But one massively important thing? The venue.

Not any regular old place will be perfect for the nuptials. The place has to be perfect as well, and there are no exceptions. So imagine the worry when the place you picked say "I do" suddenly closes without warning.

In Hill County, Texas, this situation has left some couples both heartbroken and out of a large sum of money.

Leatherberry Oaks And Its Unexpected Closure

KWTX has the story regarding Leatherberry Oaks. According to the news organization, couples getting ready to tie the knot there were informed before the holiday that venue was unable to hold ceremonies.

The owners also stated in an email to the couples that refunds would be unavailable to those who booked Leatherberry Oaks for their wedding day. However, the owners reversed course later, stating that they would still be able to honor the booked dates.

But for those who went through the roller coaster of emotions, some of the newlyweds-to-be have decided to cut their losses and move on from the venue, regardless of booking.

One couple that spoke to KWTX, lost $10,000 because of Leatherberry Oaks, and has decided to simply move to another venue for a more stable environment.

KWTX did reach out to the owners of Leatherberry Oaks for comment, and while they responded saying they would have a response, they haven't sent one to the organization.

As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
