Identity of Two Men Shot in Waco Released
News 10 is reporting that local police have identified the two men who were shot Sunday night in Waco.
The two men are Darrin Dawkins, 37, and Heath Waggoner, 23.
According to Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton, Waggoner was shot in both legs while Dawkins was shot in the stomach. Both were taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center.
Police have not been able to identify the shooter.
The victims told police that they have no idea why the unidentified shooter wanted to hurt them.
“Neither victim could give a reason why the suspect shot at them,” Swanton said.
Police were on the scene around 5:40 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Sherman Street.
Even though he was already shot, Dawkins was able to walk to the D&M gas station at 501 East Waco Dr where he asked for help.
If you have an information on the shooter, contact local police.
