What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual campaign that promotes unity between the police department and the community. Promoting police and community partnerships is a great way to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Who Takes Part in National Night Out?
Millions of neighbors around the country take part. Neighbors in all fifty states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide take part on the first Tuesday in August.
Here in Texas we celebrate National Night out on the first Tuesday in October. You know Texas has to do things differently and stand out.
How Do We Celebrate?
It's easy to take part in and celebrate National Night Out. Organize a block party or cookout with various community events like safety demonstrations, seminars, and visits from local law enforcement.
Is There a National Night Out Celebration Locally?
Yes! According to a news release from the Belton Police Department, Belton PD is asking the local community to celebrate this year's National Night Out on Tuesday, October 5.
