A Temple Fire & Rescue official says several juveniles are suspected of starting a two-alarm fire Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to Regency Rentals at 303 South 22nd Street shortly after 12:30 PM. The fire was quickly deemed a two-alarm blaze due to the size of the wood-framed structure and the amount of visible flames.

Fire crew were initially told someone might still be in the building, but no one was found after two searches. The flames were under control by 1:55 PM, and no injuries were reported. The three-story structure suffered moderate fire damage, but smoke did extensive damage to all three floors.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but Thomas Pechal with Temple Fire & Rescue said police have identified several minors who may have important information.
