Killeen Hit and Run Suspect Arrested
A man suspected of striking a pedestrian with his vehicle, and leaving the scene has been arrested.
According to a press release from the Killeen Police Department, Norlan Ricardo Perez-Corrales was arrested on March 26, and charged for an Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury – Failure to Stop and Render Aid. Perez-Corrales' bond was set at $250,000 by Justice of the Peace Bill Cook, and is currently incarcerated in the McLennan County Jail.
Authorities responded to the 1100 block of Old FM 440 Road in Killeen after receiving a dispatch from 911 involving a pedestrian hit and run. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and found the man who had been hit, lying in the road. The un-identified man was taken to Baylor Scott & White in critical condition.
Thanks to information from the Bell County Crime Stoppers, the Killeen Police Department was able to identify the driver and vehicle they believe was involved in the incident.
