The Killeen City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Charles Kimble as the new Killeen Police Chief Wednesday night. He will begin on September 1st.

“I am honored and humbled to be selected to be a member of this great organization," Kimble was quoted in a media release. "I am thankful to the Killeen City Council, Mr. Olson and the selection committee for the opportunity to lead the Killeen Police Department and to join a dynamic management team.”

Kimble brings more than 25 years of experience to the top spot. He started in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has worked in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he climbed the ladder to Assistant Police Chief. His last job was as Police Chief of Spring Lake, North Carolina.
