Killeen Police Investigating Assault and Robbery at Lions Club Park
Killeen police are investigating after two people were reportedly attacked and robbed at Lions Club Park Monday evening.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Commander Erich Morsbach said officers were dispatched to MetroPlex Hospital in reference to an assault that reportedly occurred around 8:20 PM at the park.
The victims told offers they were leaving the exercise path and heading to their vehicle when they were approached by a group of 3 or 4 men. According to the victims, they were trying to enter the vehicle when the men attacked them and stole a backpack.
The assailants were described as African-American men wearing sweatshirts, hoodies, and basketball shorts.
