Man Suspected of Trashing Lampasas Car Dealership is Behind Bars
Police believe they have the man in custody who broke into the Benny Boyd Dodge dealership over the weekend.
KWTX reports that a Benny Boyd employee stopped by the office on Sunday and discovered someone had forced a door open to the business. That person then broke into several offices, vehicles, and damaged the security system.
As the police combed over the crime scene, a call came in about trouble nearby at the Lampasas Walmart store. At the Walmart, police broke up an altercation between two individuals. The police then returned to the dealership only to recognize the individual they just saw at the Walmart on the Benny Boyd security tapes.
Police tracked down 36-year-old Michael Stratton in the 1200 block of 4th street in Lampasas. He is charged with burglary of a building and a vehicle.
